Amber N. Wright, Ph.D.
I completed my doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology with a Marriage and Family specialization at the University of North Texas. I have worked with adults, adolescents, groups and couples in multiple settings including college counseling centers (where I have done a majority of my work), community clinics, and outpatient facilities. My job duties included providing psychotherapy, conducting psychological assessments, engaging in preventative outreach services, and offering clinical supervision. I truly have a passion for what I do and greatly enjoy working with individuals and couples in therapy.
I have also provided consultation and outreach to universities and religious organizations around mental health topics. I appreciate being able to talk and interact with larger groups, engaging in dialogue about these important issues. I believe this can make a great community impact and break the silence around mental health disorders.
I live in the Dallas area with my husband, twin boys, and dog-daughter. Outside of my practice, I love spending time with my family and friends, watching home renovation shows, and being outdoors, whether that’s doing something active or enjoying a good dinner on a patio somewhere. My family and I are members of a local Christian church, and I also enjoy volunteer work.
